Terms and Conditions

At Your Home:

-        Photo shoots can only be scheduled for Saturday or Sunday.

-        If you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, I will consider the appointment canceled (see “Cancellations” below).

-        Please have treats or toys on hand to catch the attention of your pet.

-        All pets are different, and so I cannot guarantee that I will be able to capture the attention of your pet with or without your assistance. If I cannot gain your pet’s attention, this does not entitle you to a refund of any fees paid (including the travel fee) (see “Dissatisfaction”).

-        You MUST be present at all times during the session.

-        Please inform me ahead of time if your pet has any medical conditions, behaviors, or cautions I should be aware of (ex: dog aggressive, limited restraints, cannot be picked up, etc).

Outdoors:

-        Photo shoots begin 2 hours before sunset and can only be scheduled for Saturday or Sunday.

-        If you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, I will consider the appointment cancelled (see “Cancellations” below).

-        Please bring treats or toys that will catch the attention of your pet.

-        All pets are different, and so I cannot guarantee that I will be able to capture the attention of your pet with or without your assistance. If I cannot gain your pet’s attention, this does not entitle you to a refund of any fees paid (including the travel fee) (see “Dissatisfaction”).

-        For the safety of your pet and others, all mobile pets must remain on leash or tether at all times. Per your request, removal of the lead in photoshop during editing is complimentary. I do not remove harnesses or collars.

-        I am happy to photograph in all seasons.

-        You MUST be present at all times during the session.

-        Please inform me ahead of time if your pet has any medical conditions, behaviors, or cautions I should be aware of (ex: dog aggressive, limited restraints, cannot be picked up, etc).

General:

Subjects

-        Each photo shoot includes up to 2 pets. Any additional pets can be included for a fee of $15.00 per pet.

-        I am happy to photograph almost any animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, equine, and birds, however if your pet is not among those listed, you will need to verify my ability beforehand.

-        Please state on the consent form if your pet is venomous or poisonous.

Editing

-        Edits will be finished 6-8 weeks after the photo shoot.

-        In the event a delay is expected, I will try to provide you with an update no later than 7 weeks after the photoshoot.

-        In no event are you entitled to a refund for any amount due to a delay in editing.

Booking

-        Bookings can be made via email or by booking an appointment directly through Leah Desrochers Photography.

-        Your booking is not confirmed until Leah Desrochers Photography has issued your booking confirmation and sent the consent form via email.

-        Once the consent form has been signed by you and received by Leah Desrochers Photography, you commit to the photo session at the time for which you registered.

-        Leah Desrochers Photography fills appointments on a first come first served basis. I cannot guarantee availability on any particular day before you submit your request.

-        Leah Desrochers Photography cannot be held responsible if any appointment time is rendered unavailable after any booking party/appointment holder signs up for the appointment and before the booking party/appointment holder receives the consent form.

-        Leah Desrochers Photography is not responsible for any appointment reminders.

Accommodation and/or Park entrance fees and/or parking fees

-        Leah Desrochers Photography is not responsible for any accommodation of any sort.

-        Leah Desrochers Photography is not responsible for any entrance fees or parking fees for the booking party or appointment holder. Any fees for entrance or parking for the booking party and/or appointment holder will be paid by the client.

Prints

-        Sneak peeks of prints may be posted on Facebook. Sneak peek photos will contain my signature in the bottom corner.

-        Final images will be provided to you free of charge to access online.

-        Upon receiving your digital proofs, you have 4 weeks to choose which photos you would like for the included 8x12 photos. You will receive an order form at the time that the edited photos are available.

-        Additional prints are available for purchase via a separate order form. Prices are as follows.

-       Professional photo paper

Glossy: The high gloss paper is a Fuji Crystal Archive Pearl with a protective coating. Comes unframed.
Lustre: The lustre paper is a Kodak Endura Lustre with a protective coating. Comes unframed.

-        Metal

Dyes are infused directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. The high gloss, ultra-hard, scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof, can be cleaned easily, and won't fade for at least 2 years in direct sunlight. Comes with hanging mounts.

-        Acrylic

Fine Art LexJet Prints face-mounted to plexiglass with polished edges creating a high-impact image. Prints are Lustre and Non-glare. Comes with hanging mounts.

-         You may use the digitally provided images to download and print elsewhere, however I do strongly advise that you purchase additional prints through Leah Desrochers Photography as the image colors are calibrated to my professional printing lab.

-         Each item is made to order so the processing time is approximately two weeks because I get my photos printed from a professional lab. Because of this, Leah Desrochers Photography does not accept returns unless they arrive damaged or have an obvious factory fault. If this is the case, please contact me at leah@leahdesrochersphotography.com at your earliest convenience.

Travel

-        Travel over 25 miles from Somerville, Massachusetts requires a travel fee of $1 per mile. Maximum of 50 miles. Any travel fees must be paid via PayPal G&S or Venmo up to 24 hours prior to the photoshoot (see “Payment”).

-        All locations must be reachable by car or MBTA.

-        You must notify me in advance whether the location is private property, and if so, provide your written consent for me to enter that property.

Children and Adults

-        Leah Desrochers Photography is more than happy to have children at the photo shoot.

-        All children always need an adult present at the photo shoot.

-        Should a child be unruly or interfere with the photo shoot in any way, I may ask that they leave the session or I may cancel the session outright.

Cancellations

-        If any booking party/appointment holder cancels within 2 hours prior to the photo shoot, Leah Desrochers Photography is happy to reschedule up to 1 time for a $50 rescheduled session fee and any travel fees for both the missed and rescheduled appointments. Any travel fees for both appointments and the $50 rescheduled session fee must be paid as a deposit at time of reschedule confirmation via PayPal G&S or Venmo. If the deposit is not received, the rescheduled appointment will be forfeited.

-        If any booking party/appointment holder cancels up to 2 hours before the photo shoot, Leah Desrochers Photography is happy to reschedule up to 1 time without incurring a $50 rescheduling session fee. Any travel fees of the original photoshoot appointment will be transferred to the rescheduled appointment.

-        If the rescheduled appointment is canceled at any time, any travel fees and the $50 rescheduled session fee are non-refundable. Any other payment received will be refunded by Leah Desrochers Photography via PayPal or Venmo. Any future photoshoot will require a new booking and consent form (see “Booking”).

-        If any booking party/appointment holder cancels within 2 hours prior to the photo shoot, and opts out of a rescheduled appointment, all payment received prior to the photoshoot (except any travel fees) will be refunded by Leah Desrochers Photography via PayPal or Venmo. Any future photoshoot will require a new booking and consent form (see “Booking”).

-        If any booking party/appointment holder cancels up to 2 hours before to the photo shoot, and opts out of a rescheduled appointment, all payment received prior to the photoshoot (including any travel fees) will be refunded by Leah Desrochers Photography via PayPal or Venmo. Any future photoshoot will require a new booking and consent form (see “Booking”).

-        If inclement weather is predicted, Leah Desrochers Photography has the right to cancel at any time, though I will endeavor to give you at least 24 hours notice.

-        If the photo shoot is canceled by Leah Desrochers Photography, I am happy to reschedule up to 1 time, without incurring a $50 rescheduling session fee (travel fees still apply and will be transferred to the rescheduled appointment).

-        If the photo shoot is canceled by Leah Desrochers Photography, and the booking party/appointment holder opts out of a rescheduled appointment, all payment received prior to the photoshoot will be refunded by Leah Desrochers Photography via PayPal or Venmo. Any future photoshoot will require a new booking and consent form (see “Booking”).

-        Leah Desrochers Photography has the right to cancel at any time for any reason.

Payment

-        An invoice with the predicted total cost will be emailed to you after the signed consent form has been received.

-        Any travel fees must be received by Leah Desrochers Photography via PayPal G&S or Venmo by 24 hours before the photoshoot.

-        All payment must be received at the latest, by the end of the photoshoot via cash, PayPal G&S or Venmo.

-        Any additional add-on fees will be added at time of service. These fees must be received via cash, PayPal G&S or Venmo.

Dissatisfaction

-        Leah Desrochers Photography does not give refunds if you are dissatisfied with your photos. I am happy to schedule a second attempt at another date for a rescheduled session fee of $50.

-        If your pet is uncooperative or Leah Desrochers Photography is not able to capture more than 5 photos, I am more than happy to schedule a second attempt at another date free of charge (travel fees still apply).

Refunds

-        Refunds will not be given if you are dissatisfied with your photos (see “Dissatisfaction”).

-        Refunds will not be given for uncooperative animals (see “Dissatisfaction”).

-        Refunds will not be given for any delays in editing (see “Editing”).

-        Refunds of any payment (excluding any travel fees) received prior to the photoshoot will be given if an appointment is cancelled by the booking party/appointment holder if at a time fewer than 2 hours prior to the photoshoot and the booking party/appointment holder opts out of a rescheduled appointment at the time of first appointment cancellation (see “Cancellations”).

-        Refunds of any payment (including any travel fees) received prior to the photoshoot will be given if an appointment is cancelled by the booking party/appointment holder if at a time greater than 2 hours prior to the photoshoot and the booking party/appointment holder opts out of a rescheduled appointment at the time of first appointment cancellation (see “Cancellations”).

-        Refunds of any travel fees and the $50 rescheduled session fee deposit will not be given if the confirmed rescheduled appointment is cancelled (see “Cancellations”).

-        Refunds of any payment (including any travel fees) received prior to the photoshoot will be given if an appointment is cancelled by Leah Desrochers Photography and the booking party/appointment holder opts out of a rescheduled appointment at the time of first appointment cancellation (see “Cancellations”).

Liability

-        Should any injuries to humans or animals occur during the photo shoot, Leah Desrochers Photography is not liable in any way.

-        Responsibility for safety of yourself, pets, children, or any other guests rests with you.

Complaints and Anti-Abuse Policy

-        Leah Desrochers Photography welcomes your feedback. I want to know how I can improve my business and your satisfaction is important to me. In order for me to do my job effectively and efficiently, I ask for your patience, kindness, and respect. Please understand that this is a one-person business.

-        Disrespectful or abusive behavior or language will not be tolerated and will result in termination of the session, without any refund. This includes, but is not limited to: belittling, insulting, raising your voice, threatening to leave a bad review, or using sarcasm/condescension in an abusive manner. An Anti-Abuse Policy protects me, and anyone who cannot comply with these rules will be asked to find another photographer.

Consent

-        Prior to the photo shoot, Leah Desrochers Photography will send you a consent form via email. Please read and sign this form and email it back (a photo or PDF is sufficient) at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled photo shoot.

-        I have the right to cancel any appointment for which a properly completed consent has not been received.
