It only took a decade to get here.

I graduated from high school in 2010. In all honesty, that's not all that long ago. But in 2009 when I was thinking about colleges and majors, and what it was that I wanted to do with my life, I wanted to be a wildlife photographer. I spent hours as a child watching animals out the window, participating in NH Audubon lectures and discussions, and watching nature programs on TV. I attended the University of New Hampshire. Unfortunately for me, however, UNH no longer offered a photography minor. So I majored in Marine Biology, and minored in Animal Behavior.

Those 4 years in college made me further fall in love with animals. I was fascinated by the diving response of seals, the cognition and planning behaviors of orcas, the communication of cephalopods. Everything intrigued me. I finished college and became a wildlife rehabilitator for terrestrial and marine wildlife. It was during these wildlife rehab internships that I fell in love with skunks and rekindled my passion for photography. But I didn't own my own camera, yet.

After getting a job at Boston University and starting my Masters Program in 2018, I decided that it was finally time to invest in a DSLR. However when working full-time, attending school part-time, collecting data, and writing a thesis all at the same time, I didn’t really have much time to spare for photography adventures. So the camera was rarely used.

After finishing my Masters Degree in 2020 and publishing my manuscript in a journal, I started veterinary technology school and began working at a Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Hospital. I want to save individual animals and wild populations, and learn how to promote the survival success of endangered animals. I want to advocate for the natural world that exists beyond the scope of our immediate surroundings by combining my experiences in veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, research, environmental conservation, and photography.

In February 2021, I decided it was finally time to use my passion for photography to capture the beauty and detail that nature has to offer and begin the next step towards helping wildlife.

Welcome to my photography site! I hope you enjoy all that has come from my lens. And thank you so very much for taking the time to immerse yourself in my adventures.
